Frequently Asked Questions
Q. How many Characters I am allowed?
A. Usually no more than five or six. Any more and some start to become inactive. However, it you can handle more and that can all stay active, PM myself or a staff member and we shall decide if you are active enough with your existing characters to have more.
Q. How many accounts am I allowed?
A. Just the one. It stops people becoming confused as to who is posting and whatnot.
Q. What is an Activity Check and how often are they?
A. An Activity Check is a thread posted once a month to find out which members are still active. It will be made an announcement and all you have to do is reply to it. However, if you do not reply for two months in a row without explanation (we have an absence board) your account will be deleted for inactivity.
Q. How long should my posts be?
A. They MUST be a minimum of 100 words long (there is a word counter). That is our rule. However 300+ words is a good guide for a good post. Some of our members can do 700, 800 and even 1000+ words; so just keep building your posts up if you haven’t quite managed that yet and if you have, then great!
Q. What is a Wild One, and what is the difference between a normal Wild One and a True Wild One?
A. A Wild One was a horse or wolf that refused to have an alliance in the time of Alliances (when the Gods ruled). They were a wandering people, with no fixed home and stereotypically wild in nature. A True Wild One is descended from the one time “guards” of the Heart of the Wild, whereas a normal W.O. just chose that way of life, or an ancestor chose. Now, since the Heart of the Wild influences its entire people, the term refers only to the descendents of the “guards” only. In them the Wild Power is strongest. Many of them still roam like they did in the days of the Alliances. Horses and wolves that are not descended but still wander are now known as the Roamer.
Q. How do I make my character a Wild One?
A. You can’t. If you are a good RPer, do something note worthy, or win a competition then a staff member will say you can wither make your character one, or create one.
Q. What are the Alliances?
A. The Foirfe, the Saoirse, and the Thall. The Foirfe are those who cherish the Gods and Goddesses, and usually don’t have any form of powers. The Saoirse are those who are influenced and chose to follow the Heart of the Wild. Their powers are constructive. The Thall are those who follow the Realm of Death and their powers are destructive. “Wild One” and “Loner” are not alliances, they are groups, but members in those groups must still have an alliance. All Wild Ones are for the Heart. Roamers do have an alliance; they do just choose not to have a fixed home. They can change from being a Loner to being a normal animal of their alliance – it is a choice.
Q. Why is there a “Sovereign Wolf” and an “Equine Royal” in the Isle of Divinity, but not in any of the other lands?
A. It is another example of the Gods desperate attempt to cling to the old ways. The Sovereign Wolf is the King or Queen of the Wolf folk (or of those who are Foirfe, anyway). He or she is the over lord of all of the wolves. The Equine Royal is the same for the horses.
